The weather this week at school has still been cold and chilly!!
The Duffy show came to kaikohe West School on Thursday!! The actors were emphasizing the importance of enjoying reading and making sure reading becomes a passion for all.
Daily reading shows children benefit more and are more likely to show increased progress with support from home!!
This week we had world of Math at school on Tuesday. So many tamariki were engaged and liked experiencing math in a fun hands on practical way. Thank you to Peter for Facilitation of this exciting day.

| Pererika was picked out of the yellow card box for being at school every day and for not getting on traffic light. Tavien received a reading certificate for becoming more engaged and for showing reading fluency. |
