We only have 4 weeks of school left for Term 3.  The year is flying by so so fast.

The Cultural festival is planned for Thursday 24th September 2020.

Sean and Drea were so excited to receive their certificates.

Sean and Drea were so excited to  receive their Certificates!! Both boys have  been showing so much progress in reading and writing.

Norton and Cruize were so happy to show  everyone their 2 duffy books.  We are so lucky to have this sponsorship for our tamariki at Kaikohe West.

If you ever have any spare time we would love to  invite you for a cup of tea or coffee. Room 16 love having visitors and they really enjoy sharing their learning with their whanau.

Learning is so much more fun when you do it with your friends.....

Drea, Waimirirangi, Taeheare and Casey were so proud of themselves as they matched  the capital letters to the lower case letters.

It was fantastic to see all the tamariki working together  and supporting each other so success was had for all the children.

At the moment Auckland is still in Alert Level 3. There will be an announcement from Jacinda Ardern  on Monday afternoon.  Please listen to these important updates.

Please check your Tamariki's book bags,  a newsletter was given out on Friday that contains important information.

If you have any queries please get in touch. Have a great weekend

Bubble Fun and Nanny Rachel

All this week I have been home sick with the flu. I didn't want to make any tamariki in room 16 sick. I think it's really important at the moment to keep our social distances from one another when we can, carry on hand washing and keep sneezing in our elbows.

While I was away this week, I was excited  to see and hear that the school had given out the FREE  PJ's and gumboots. Now everyone will be warmer at home and have dry feet at school.

I know Auckland is at Alert Level 3, Northland is only at Alert Level 2, we can keep it that way as long  as we are all vigilant with our Level 2 Protocols.

It's super important to keep our tamariki home from school if they do have a cough or cold. Please ring and let the office or myself know so we can  adjust attendance records daily.

Last week we had the absolute privilege of Mana, Kirsty and Rewiri come for a visit. I told Kirsty we had some bubbles for Rewiri, so he came over and had some bubble magic with room 16. It was great to see room 16 including Rewiri in our bubble fun!!

Wow, who can count how many bubbles you can see!!

On Friday it was super exciting we had 3 tamariki  come for their first school visit. Cruize, Norton and Gene had a  fabulous time exploring room 16.

It was great to see their whanau supporting their tamariki  in their learning journey

All the Teina and Tukana  classes are well underway learning their waiata to present at the Cultural Festival week 10 of this term Please watch this space!!

Room 16 love using the alphabet stones to identify upper case and lower case letters

Drea and Waimirirangi were very proud of their achievement  once  both of them completed the  lower case and number  puzzle together.

Tookie and Nanny Rachel  were working together to help him recognise and say his alphabet.

Room 10 tamariki spent some time in room 16 on Thursday. Itr was great to see teina and Tukana  successfully working together.

I love how the mum's are so involved. It will be awesome to have Cruize and Norton join room 16 whanau.

Gene and Nana  worked  together creating a fantastic tower.

Drea, Cruize, Raynor and Kowhai   were so focused at the playdough table. They made lots of yummy cookies.

I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend. I can't wait to see you all again on Monday.
