Happy Halloween to you all!!

I hope everyone has had a great week.  Over the last 3 weeks room 16 has  6 new tamariki enrolled  in our class.

I would like to take this opportunity to  warmly welcome  Virginia, Heilem, Reign, Silas, Zydin                                                                                          and Revere.

Casey and Reign received  certificates this week . Casey for having a positive attitude to learning and  Reign for  welcome to our school and room 16.

I hope everyone received their term 4  class newsletter this week. I put it in their book bag on Thursday. If you have any further questions please come and see me.

Packing a healthy lunch box is particularly important to your child's focus in the classroom and learning. Please don't put any  unhealthy food in their lunch box's especially the carton fruit juices. They contain a lot of hidden sugar .

Kaikohe West School is a health promoting school and we want out tamariki to eat healthy and be healthy.

Have a terrific weekend.

Little Garden League

 Sunday 25th October 2020

Kia Ora Whanau/Caregivers

This week room 16 have been busy learning about  little gardens from New World. On Friday we  planted our little Gardens.  All the tamariki showed lots of enthusiasm  as we read about all the vegetables and flowers we planted.

On Wednesday Hillcrest Kindergarten  brought  their 4 year olds for a school visit. It was great to see lots of smiley happy faces.

I wonder what plant will sprout first??

Swimming wont be  starting until the weather becomes warmer around mid November. I will send  a note home  closer to the time.

Lots of eager tamariki looking  at the plants ready to be planted.
Jayden was excited getting ready to  plant  his seedling.
Norton and Cruize were happy to  work together.
All the plants are nearly planted!! Kowhai and Casey look happy!!
It was lovely to hear all the happy chatter as the tamariki were discussing

what we had achieved together as a class.

I hope everyone has a happy long labour weekend. I'll see you all back mat school on Tuesday.

I hope everyone has had a fantastic holiday and everyone is ready  to zoom into term 4. Whaea Shayna is working in room 16 this term to support  all Tamariki. I would like to welcome back Jayden and his whanau to room 16,  He was away for term 3, It's fantastic to see him back ready to learn.

Room 16 is growing rapidly, I would like to welcome Revere, Zydin and Silas to our class.

This week we spent the first week adjusting back  to school and going over rules, routines and expectations of learning and behaviour.

I captured some exciting photos through the week.

Kowhai is very proud to show everyone  of her mahi.
Revere, Zydin and Jayden are proud to show of their  weekly certificates!!

Waimirirangi is becoming  such a confident learner.

Aalacaey  is developing lots of confidence as a learner.
Drea  shows he can form the letter K   easily!!

Swimming is starting for the school next week but the Teina Tamariki wont  start swimming until the water becomes much warmer.

Now that the elections is over I wonder how the  Labour  Party  can support Whanau in Northland??
