More action packed moments from room 14

I hope you have had a great weekend!!  The weather has been beautiful. On Saturday I  spent the day learning how to say Te Reo and  pronounce  kupu  with more confidence and learning how to write my pepeha . It was a lot of fun and I feel  what I learnt can be transferred to the classroom with ease.

Week 5 is just around the corner. All of the Teina roopu have been involved  learning a song and actions to the six 60  waiata "pepeha" Please ask your  tamariki if they can show you the actions so far that we have learnt.

We are very honored to have Bo-Deene Stephens from "Hush" studio choreographer our  dance moves!!

Room 14 had fun with Michaela from sport northland this week.  They learnt how to correctly exit a boat, how to put on a life jacket and how to feel safer in the water by gliding across the pool. The tamariki learnt how to use a pool noodle to assist  as a floating device.

Aubrie is showing how to be a starfish.

Hemi was showing us his Hoola hoop skills

Silas and  Cadel have show a HUGE improvement in their attitude to                                                        learning.  I am very impressed how both boys are now becoming                                                                more focused learners!!

Waiaroha was super excited  as she spun the wheel on Friday and                                                               picked out a pink unicorn as her prize.  Keep on getting lots of Blue                                                           Mana cards.

Cadel was keen to show me his pierced ear on Friday. I asked him if it                                                       hurt and he said "no". We must grow them tough in Kaikohekohe!!

I hope you all have a great week!!     Please check your tamariki's book bags for readers, sight words to be learnt and important notices.  Please get in touch if anything arises.

I would like to warmly welcome all my tamariki and whanau to Ruma Tekau ma Wha- room 14. It was great to see so many tamariki at school last Tuesday.

We are going to spend the next 3 weeks getting to know each other and set up  our class treaty, routines and learning and behaviour expectations.

I captured a fabulous photo of  my class on the first day of school.
