Whanau!!

 Sunday 11th July 2021

Kia Ora Whanau/Caregivers

Well we made it to the end of Term 2!!  This has been a very long term due to tamariki getting sick, Tummy bugs and cold and wet weather.

The Teina Kaiako have had a very busy and long week. We have been at the Toi Marama Light Festival Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Bling Bling market. I was blown away  by the true talent and creativity seen in creating Tane Mahuta from the Canopy to the Trunk then onto the lower ground surface areas.

All $$$ raised from the Bling Bling markets is going to support the Tamariki achieve our goal to visit Kelly Tartlon's and sleep under the fishes and to visit the Auckland Zoo.

We still have about 4 more fundraisers to go. All of the Teina Kaiako are forever grateful  to the continued support you give us. Fundraising takes alot of  mahi, time and organisation to be successful. But the end result  is lots of happy tamariki experiencing something they never thought possible.

This year room 15 combined with room 14 to work collaboratively to                                                       create beautiful shiny sparkly stars.

On the last week of school Mrs Neale had noticed there was a lot of rubbish                                              around the streets of Kaikohe but especially along Tawanui, Hillcrest and                                                 Orrs road.  All of the Teina tamariki put on a glove and walked with a buddy                                              in their designated area and started to pick up lots of yucky rubbish that is                                                lining the streets of Kaikohe.

Puriri  picked up Manawa with their Mum from school this week. Puriri is 4 and goes to Hillcrest Kindy. She likes coming and  investigating room 15.  Puriri likes it when Manawa may bring any left over Healthy Lunches which could be a yoghurt, sandwich or a cheese stick. Please come and visit us again Puriri.

Thank you very much to all the whanau that brought back their permission slips and money.

I hope you have a super fabulous holiday.

School resumes again for term 3 Tuesday 27 July 2021. The first day back is a  TOD on Monday 26th July.

If you ever need anything please email, text, private message me, or pop into room 15 for a chat.

Thank you once again for another exciting Term. I'm sure  term 3 will be more exciting with our trip planned to Auckland week  4 and 5 of term 3.

Stay safe

Only 1 more week to go until  school finishes for term 2. The Junior Kaiako are very busy fundraising for the Teina roopu trip to Auckland in August. We have been at the Thursday night markets, reporting to whanau fundraiser and  selling  delicious school lunches.

We are going to be at Bling, Bling  Toi Marama next Wednesday to Friday next week to raise some more dollars. If you have any home baking to donate that would be awesome as well. Please come and  and have a look at the light festival .

I was feeling quite tired this week and  Maia wrote me a kind and caring note message on the whiteboard. I wanted to share it with you!!

It is so lovely to be surrounded by kind tamariki that express their honest and  sincere feelings about you!! Thank you Maia for the thoughtful gesture.

I hope to see you at the night market next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
