Writing Thank you letters

Term 2, Week 8

Just a quick update for this week.  We have Parent/Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 28th June from 3.30-7.00. It would be fantastic to see as many Parents as possible there to discuss your child's learning!!

Jade wrote a fantastic letter to say Thank you to Mainfreight last week. Shadae is learning to remember all the 7 sisters of Matariki, she is doing some lovely Mahi to portray this.


Shadae got a Deputy Principal's  sticker from Mrs Smith.

Highlights from week 7

Term 2, week 7

Kia Ora Whanau

We have had a really busy week in room 8, from  Cooking, Inspired writing, Art and Maths.

Here is the amazing evidence of our learning this week from my beautiful class.

Bevan, Tyrone. Deekon, Paytonn's names were picked out of the yellow box. They get a FREE book on Monday!!

Danna today wrote the numbers from 0-5.

Min has been making stunning progress in her reading fluency

My special class wrote Thank you letters to Mainfreight today for sponsoring our Duffy books.

Creativity, A police visit and happy children

Term 2, Week 6

We have had an action packed  week with A visit from Constable Rob, children being creative at lunchtime - since we have had so much rain and  creativity thriving in the playdough area.

I hope everyone is keeping up the daily reading log over the weekend. The children get so excited when they get a sticker for every night they have read in a row!!!

Please ensure to keep checking for Nits they are out again and to make sure the children have a warm jumper at school as the weather is getting cold and chilly.  Keep warm.

I hope you are all enjoying this lovely long Queens Birthday weekend. I uploaded the Passion Week photos for everyone to view, I hope you are impressed at their impressive work.

This was part of the Under the sea mural inspired by the Rainbow fish story
