How are you all?  Miss Nicola took our class photos and I received them when I was at home for a few days. last week sick. It's such a lovely photo of room 15, Nanny Rachel , Rikki-Leigh and myself.

We are trying to swim as much as possible with this gorgeous hot weather we have at the moment. Please put  your child's togs in their bag EVERY DAY!! we have lunch time swim's a few days a week.

Virginia received a certificate for coming to school   more often. It's been so great to see Virginia at least 4 times a week!!!

I hope you all have a great week, only 2 more weeks left until  school finishes for 2021.

The first day of  school for 2022 is February 2nd.

Swimming season has begun!!!

We are now half way through  term 4. We only have 4 weeks to go!  I can't believe how  fast the term is progressing.

We started SWIMMING on Thursday. I had just over half the class with their  Togs and Towel in a plastic bag.  Swimming is part of the school curriculum just like reading, writing and math.

Room 15 swimming days are WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

PLEASE encourage your tamariki to bring their togs on our swimming days. It was so hot on Thursday and tamariki enjoyed having a swim in the nice warm water. Swimming caps are kept in the class from term 1 this year.

This week we had HAS as the word of the day!! well done to room 15 for taking ownership of their learning and making it visual!!

School photos were taken by Miss Nicola on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to see the finished  and finalized photo of my beautiful class!!

Well I hope you have had an enjoyable  Guy Fawkes night.  I was talking to Peter and Manawa on Friday they were both excited to share with me they were going to have some  Fire works with their whanau on Friday night.

On Friday we had some Tamariki in from rooms 13 and 14 working with Room 15. It was great to see our school MANA values being displayed as the Tamariki worked happily  together.

                                                     Nivanah received a class certificate for  displaying a positive growth                                                          mindset towards her learning.

                                             On Tuesday James came to teach Room 15 how to  kick a ball and simple                                                  ball skills based around Soccer.

                                                        Blue was proud to share her learning with me.

                                                        Che'la  and Blue worked together to write  as many sight words as                                                             they could together.

                                                      Blue took a photo of  Peter's mahi. The word of the day was from and                                                        he made it  by using the alphabet magnetic letters.

Next Wednesday we are having our class photos taken. I'm sure the photos will come out looking fabulous!!

Swimming will probably start in the next two weeks. I'm waiting for some warmer weather before we start swimming.

PLEASE keep up  daily reading with your Tamariki.  Tamariki who read every day are making more progress and are becoming more  confident and capable learners and amazing readers.

A child who reads is a child who thinks more!!
