Welcome back to Term Two, 2016

Term 2, Week 1

What a fantastic and busy week it has been. The children have all settled down to another busy week at school. A new family has moved up from Auckland and Losefo is settling into his new class.   I hope all the lovely Mum's in Room 8 had a fantastic Mother's day on Sunday.

Netball is starting this Saturday 14th May. All the girls are so excited to get their uniforms. Please come along to support and cheer on their games.

I gave out a newsletter to the class on Friday, here is another copy in case it got lost.

Welcome back to Term 2 2016

This is a really exciting term. Our Inquiry unit this term will be focused around cool schools. We will be learning about what conflict is and how to deal with it. We will be learning about I statements  and how to communicate our feelings in a positive way.

In week 4 we will be having Passion week , this is where your child will participate in a group that will cater to their passion and what exciting things they would like to be learning about.

Term 2 is important to everyone at Kaikohe West School and especially in room 8, because we have well established routines and expectations of each other and are ready to get down to the serious and fantastic business of learning and achieving together so continued learning happens!!!!!!!

Your valued support is really important to me and especially to your child as well. I have high expectations for your child to do well in their learning ,this will happen if we work together  and achieve success together.

Please continue to support your child as they bring home their reading book and listen to them read each night. Basic sight words  will be given to them next week also, these will be required to be practised as well ,to support their reading and writing.
Please visit our blog site and make comments on your children’s learning.http://kwsbirchall.blogspot.co.nz/

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
